Angels for Animals has a rescue wing that supports stray animals in need
Goa has very little transportation facility for stray animals in need. Unfortunately, a few handful of NGOs do their very best, but it is not enough. AFA has a dedicated rescue van which supports on site medical treatment if possible, or transporting the animal to the nearest available medical facility in case of severe injuries or sickness.
Being a newly founded trust and not having our own medical infrastructure, we are currently dependent on organisations who provide medical care and attention to cases we are not able to treat on site. Often in long term cases, we work with individuals and fosters who provide rehabilitation care to these animals.
We also foster as much as we can in house. In the past, we have taken care of countless neo natal puppies and kittens, several cats with severe maggot wounds and other injuries, breeder reject cats, and dumped breed dogs who would not survive on their own and needed not just medical attention, but also rehabilitation to make them ready for their forever homes.
With your support, we hope to have our own medical facility and sterilization centre, so we can help even more animals in the years to come.
