We believe that lots of small actions done by many people can truly create big and lasting change. To give you an example: with as little as 500 INR, our team at Angels for Animals can pay for the sterilization of a cat, purchase medication for an injured stray, or organize ingredients to feed 10 dogs for one day. Do you want to take time out, and actively help us on the ground in North Goa? Amazing! If you have a car, a valid driving licence, and are willing to help us transport donated food to feeders, or cats and dogs, either from or to the vet, and ―in some lucky cases ― to their new forever-homes, you would do Angels for Animals and the animals involved a great service. You have just decluttered your house, organized a yard sale, and want to donate the collected money to support the animal cause? You knit, crochet, paint, do woodwork, or bake amazing cakes, and want to host a charity auction? Or you know others who want to help, and are interested in becoming an official Angels for Animals Ambassador? In any case, we can’t wait to hear your ideas!
Before you donate money to us or any other like-minded organization, you can create the biggest impact by taking care of those in need who live right next to you! If your society has a guard dog, ensure it receives regular medical check-ups and, if necessary, treatments (against ticks, flees, little wounds, etc.). If you see hungry cats and dogs near your home, start putting out food once a day. You’ll see that a little dal and rice will go a very long way! Most importantly, by taking care and befriending animals near us through regular food, we ensure not only their physical well-being but also help them develop a sense of trust, friendliness, and pave the way for peaceful co-existence between animals and humans.
