Animal Rights
No person shall beat, kick, injure, kill, torture, cause stress and discomfort to any animal or being the owner, allow such treatment to be inflicted upon any animal.
– Section 3 and 11, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, Section 429, Indian Penal Code

Animals don’t have a choice, and thus need us to help reinforce what is legally theirs: the right to a peaceful, cruelty-free, and harmonious existence. India has very strong laws that not only protect stray animals but also those who feed them. For more details, read the full document below to learn about animal rights in India.
